Happy Wednesday!
Running TikTok Shop and influencer campaigns can feel like herding cats 🐱 (first time I’ve ever used the cat emoji haha)
Creators (and customers) tag you left and right. UGC content floods in. Spreadsheets pile up. (and you probably miss 50% of it anyway haha)
You're drowning in content without knowing:
Who’s actually driving sales?
Which posts are hidden gems?
How to turn this chaos into profit?
Here’s the TikTok Shop truth:
80% of gifted products result in average content.
Only 20% of creators will produce strong content.
Of those, 20% (yep, just 4%) create absolute magic.
That 4% is where the real growth lives.
Stop guessing. Start systemizing
Ok - here’s my step-by-step system.
Step 1: Consolidate Your Content
Create a Single Tracker - Use one sheet (or a simple database) to log every gifted product, creator handle, post URL, and engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares).
Capture Key Metrics – For each post, record:
Views
Engagement rate
Clicks (if tagged links exist)
UGC to sale conversions (sales tied to UGC posts)
Automate Where Possible – Use basic Zapier workflows to pull new tags/mentions into your tracker.
Step 2: Find Your Top Creators
Sort by Performance – In your tracker, filter for the top 20% of posts by engagement and sales conversion.
Identify the 4% Stars – From that 20%, spotlight the top 20% again. These creators consistently overperform.
Build Your VIP List – Compile a shortlist of these high-performers (usually 5–10 handles to start).
Step 3: Whitelist for Meta Ads
What is whitelisting? Running ads directly from a creator’s social account—leveraging their audience and trust to supercharge your campaigns.
Request Whitelisted Access – Ask each VIP creator to grant your ad account access as a partner in Meta Business Manager.
Verify Permissions – Ensure you have “Ads Create” and “Manage Content” permissions on their account.
Set Up Ad Asset – In Meta Ads Manager, select the creator’s page as the ad origin, choose the UGC post, and launch your campaign.
Optimize & Scale – Monitor performance; double down on the best-performing creator posts.
Why it matters: Meta still captures 70% of DTC ad spend. Running high-trust creator ads here beats generic assets every time.
I’ve lost weeks fighting for permissions on my own brands—delays that cost real dollars. It doesn’t have to be that way.
My Shortcut: Refunnel (I also happen to be an advisor!)
Imagine all of the above—tracking, filtering, rights requests, payouts, and one-click whitelisting—in one platform.
Also… I was one of their customers and have helped Atif the founder shape some of the product AND I AM SO PUMPED ABOUT THE NEW WHITELISTING FEATURE!
Refunnel delivers:
Unified Dashboard – See every mention, post, and performance metric across TikTok, Instagram, and more.
Automated Whitelisting – With one click, grant and receive ad permissions between your brand and creators.
Instant Content Downloads – Grab UGC assets in the resolution you need, ready for ads.
Rights & Payout Management – Track approvals, and automate creator payouts without extra tools.
Case Study: Sole Toscana
Sole Toscana spent nearly $50K on creator-driven ads via Refunnel. Their whitelisted campaigns achieved a 2.25× higher ROAS compared to all other ads in their account.
Refunnel shrinks a multi-day headache into minutes.
Your creator program’s control centre is a click away.
This is how you scale smarter.
