We Sold One Of Our Brands!
Here are the details!
First of all… over the past few years, I went a little crazy!
On top of the upGrowth Commerce, I had amassed a portfolio of 6 brands in the e-commerce space - all of them in the apparel and accessories space.
Things were going great (ish)…
Until… we realized that we were stretched thin in so many ways.
Too many new collections!
Too much inventory!
Too many different offers!
Too many platforms!
And the list just goes on and on!
And so I decided that I needed to…
Focus!
It’s one of those terms you hear mentors throw out all of the time and usually ignore!
Until you physically can’t ignore it anymore.
And that my friends is where I came to in the last year or so!
I wanted to focus on my zone of genius.
And so today I want to tell you some great news!
WE SOLD ONE OF OUR BRANDS!
Keep Nature Wild
It was a great brand that we acquired back in 2021.
We saw great growth over the three years of close to 50%
We increased our retail footprint into some of the biggest outdoor chains around including REI + Scheels.
We did over 7 figures on Faire alone (that will have to be it’s own post and podcast episode!)
On top of that, we far surpassed picking up 1,000,000 lbs of trash off of trails with our incredible community “The Wild Keepers”. (more to come on how to build a thriving community in future posts as well)
In all…
I am proud of the work that our team did!
But this year we realized it was time to let someone else carry the mantle and so we did!
We sold the brand to an amazing group that is going to take great care of the brand and the mission.
The deal took just over two months from the first conversation to close (which in my experience is REALLY fast!)
So what does this mean for me?
It means I am more focused than ever on helping up-and-coming e-commerce entrepreneurs thrive and scale in the coming years!
And now I can focus my energy even harder on that goal.
