Big Day For Me As An Advisor + Social Commerce
And the future of brand-owned live shopping
Hey all - happy Tuesday!
Proud Advisor moment coming at you with a founder that I’ve been advising for the last 8 months!
First off, I’m even more proud as I was one of their first customers when I owned Little and Lively!
Well, they just landed a massive acquisition deal—they’re being acquired by Verb Tech (VERB on the Nasdaq)Verb Technology https://www.verb.tec
And honestly? I couldn’t be more excited.
This is the kind of stuff that I LIVE FOR as an advisor. Seeing a company like this grow and get acquired is HUGE and the reason that I have taken on advisory clients this past year!
I’ve known Max (Lyve’s founder) for years now.
We’ve worked together, brainstormed ideas, and I’ve seen firsthand how he’s built this thing company the ground up.
When I first got into Lyve, it was clear they were onto something huge in the video commerce and live streaming space.
And now, the world is catching up. (Social Commerce may just be here to stay?)
Why this is a HUGE deal for brands + other SAAS:
✅ The M&A market has been dead—barely any companies getting acquired.
✅ Yet Lyve is closing a major deal, proving the demand for live commerce is real.
✅ This acquisition means bigger reach, more innovation, and faster growth for live shopping.
This is why I’ve been so bullish on social commerce.
It’s happening right now.
The brands that start using live video to sell (and any video)? They’re going to dominate.
The ones that wait?
Well…
If you’ve been thinking about integrating video commerce into your website, now’s the time to do it.
Max and his team at Lyve are the real deal, and this is only the beginning after this acquisition.
